Our Scout Group was founded in 1929 as the St. John’s Scout Troop, in Tralee. The group has a well known scout den in the town that is central to all of Tralee’s amenities.
The group were formerly members of the Catholic Boy Scouts of Ireland [CBSI] but amalgamated with the Scout Association of Ireland to become members of Scouting Ireland.
Our group celebrated 80 years of scouting in 2009 which was commemorated with a gathering of some of the first scouts that joined all those years ago, as well as many others who have been part of our group through the years.
