Our Scout Group was founded in 1929 as the St. John’s Scout Troop, in Tralee. The group has a well known scout den in the town that is central to all of Tralee’s amenities.

The group were formerly members of the Catholic Boy Scouts of Ireland [CBSI] but amalgamated with the Scout Association of Ireland to become members of Scouting Ireland.

Our group celebrated 80 years of scouting in 2009 which was commemorated with a gathering of some of the first scouts that joined all those years ago, as well as many others who have been part of our group through the years.

The history of our group can be found here

We are always actively seeking adult members to become leaders in our group for all of the programme sections.
